The Pension Fund provides key information and tools for you to communicate with them and have access to your pension account and data. Aside from email, these are the platforms on everything about your pension.
The Unique Identification Number (UID) is needed for all your communications with the Pension Fund. This is different from your Pension Number or Retirement Number. This UID is a new UNJSPF reference number which remains unchanged throughout the pension lifecycle and which replaces the two ‘former’ IDs .
The Member Self-Service (MSS) is a member-only website from the Pension Fund that provides you access to your pension account and allows you to submit forms and documents to the Pension Fund. It is an essential tool for retirees and beneficiaries.
The Pension Fund requires a yearly Certificate of Entitlement (CE) or proof of life to be submitted each year. Failure to do so can result in the suspension of benefits.
While the CE can be submitted as a manual form, a Digital Certificate of Entitlement (DCE) App is available for quick submission of the CE.

Each pension recipient should be responsible in ensuring that they continue the receipt of their benefits by being aware and compliant of the Pension Fund requirements. The Certificate of Entitlement is the mandatory requirement to be fulfilled annually while other information provided to the Pension Fund can also affect the benefits you are receiving.
MSS provides you with access to your pension account and allows you to submit forms and documents to the Fund.
To register for MSS, you’ll need your UNJSPF Unique ID (UID), full name, date of birth, and a personal email address.
If you already have an MSS account but haven’t logged in since October 2025, you must re‑register to activate Multi‑Factor Authentication (MFA).
Each year the Fund conducts an exercise to verify the continuing eligibility of retirees and beneficiaries to the benefits they are receiving.
As part of this exercise, each person in receipt of a benefit from the Fund must annually submit a Certificate of Entitlement (CE) to the Fund provided their benefit was implemented before 29 June of that given year.
Every year the Fund needs to verify the continuing eligibility of retirees and beneficiaries to the benefits they are receiving; this verification is done through the Certificate of Entitlement (CE).
The Digital Certificate of Entitlement (DCE) app is an alternative to the paper-based CE form.

It's important to keep the Fund updated regarding any changes in your marital status.
If you get divorced, remarried, or enter a non-traditional union, please inform the Fund and send us by mail or through the MSS portal the relevant documents.
Below you will find more information regarding each scenario.
If you want to update your payment instructions, you should utilize the change in payment instructions form PF.23 (see under Forms).
When completing the form, it is essential that you provide the bank codes required for the electronic transfer of your monthly benefit. All requests for change must be signed by the beneficiary himself/herself and received in original form or uploaded into MSS.
On this page, you will find instructions on how to update your personal information (i.e. email address, address and phone number) in the Fund’s records.
Non-receipt of monthly payment can be caused by:
(a) issues related to your payment instructions, including your banking details; and/or
(b) non-receipt by the Fund of your original, duly filled out, dated and signed annual Certificate of Entitlement (CE) or non-renewal of your Digital Certificate of Entitlement (DCE).
If you need to inform the Fund about the death of a retiree/beneficiary or about the death of your dependents, please send an email to unjspf-deathrelated@un.org providing the required information.
